Makos and Blues are some of the most charismatic sharks that roam our planet, but they unfortunately have something else in common: severe overfishing. They are both prized for their fins and their meat, despite their eco-importance. Even worse? Protections for these iconic species are inconsistent and filled with holes, making it almost impossible to make a case for their preservation.
