Here are a few steps we're taking to make sure the only impact we have on the planet is a positive one.
100% Cotton.
Our Shark Cafe branded merchandise is 100% Cotton or GOTS Organic Cotton wherever possible, the most sustainable textile option.
Locally Made.
Our apparel is cut and sewn in Los Angeles, as well as printed and fulfilled. All other products are shipped from the same LA location.
Recycled Packaging.
Every part, down to the tags and tape, is completely recyclable, 100% recycled/90% post-consumer waste or compostable.
Ocean-Minded Collabs.
If the companies we sell are not 100% sustainable, their commitment to supporting ocean causes is a step in the right direction.
Small Batches.
We buy in small batches to minimize waste. If we run out of stock quickly, that is why! Try our “Preorder” buttons to hold your place in line.
Back Stock.
Items that are clearly unsustainable (cough Shark Allies beanies, cough), exist because we are getting rid of back stock, avoiding waste.
Funds Conservation.
All of Shark Cafe’s proceeds directly fund shark conservation through our nonprofit arm, Shark Allies, as well as our partner campaigns.
Recycled is 2nd Best.
Despite the assumption, recycled water bottle textiles are not the best choice, but a close second. Use this to minimize your impact.
